Violently Homophobic Assistant Principal Promoted Instead of Disciplined

Kasongo Kalumbula was an assistant principal in a school district in Wisconsin when he began years of torment against a young student because the student’s parents are gay.

Early on in this horrible situation, the student in question was bullied by homophobic students who were making fun of the student for having gay parents.  Assistant principal Kalumbula not only refused to help the student but when the students’ parents met in person with Kalumbula and the principal of the school to address the matter, Kalumbula was quoted as screaming at the gay couple, “no queer is going to speak to me like this!”  His reaction to the bullying of the student was to engage in bullying of the parents!

After this incident, Kalumbula regularly threatened and harassed the student over the next several years.

At one point, Kalumbula decided it would be a wise decision to lock the student in a dark room for about an hour and directly stated to the student that he would kill the student if they told anyone what he had done to them.

When the parents of the student made a complaint to the principal about Kalumbula, the principal reported this complaint to Kalumbula, who then reacted to the complaint by later approaching the student and slamming the student up against the wall.  Several days after that, Kalumbula grabbed the student by the arm and dragged them into the office.

Kalumbula even went so far as to state to the student that their parents would burn in hell for being gay.  This claim by Kalumbula led to the student having a panic attack while on a vacation at Disney World with their family when the student saw a gay couple in the amusement park holding hands – the student was fearful that the couple would burn in hell for holding hands.

Evidently, this student is not alone in being harassed and threatened by Kalumbula.  Several LGBTQIA+ employees left the school district due to Kalumbula’s discriminatory actions against them.  Quite a number of complaints were filed with the school board against Kalumbula by employees and students for his use homophobic language and anti-LGBTQIA+ actions.  As a result, at least three students with LGBTQIA+ parents were unenrolled by their parents in the school where Kalumbula was an administrator.

In response to the numerous complaints and the mounting evidence against Kalumbula, the school board not only refused to provide any sort of assistance to the affected people but also decided to grant a promotion to Kalumbula, making him the principal of another school in the district.

Fortunately, there is now a lawsuit being brought against Kalumbula and the school board of his district for this evil situation they have created.

Homophobia should only be rewarded with corrective actions to combat discrimination, to teach the homophobic person(s) why their actions are unethical and immoral (and unchristian), and to spread love and happiness throughout society!
